Disney On Ice

OK, so this happened last Thursday, and I am now just getting around to blogging about it! At any rate, Thursday night Livie, Sophie and I headed out to see Disney On Ice. I had tried to talk Neil, Lindsay and Chris into coming, but it was a lost cause! To quote my almost 15 year old daughter, "Mom, just because you put Mickey and Minnie on ice skates it doesn't make it any cooler." Ah. I see. Mickey and Minnie have lost their 'coolness'. Oh, they grow up too fast.

Two other FCC-South Florida families were also there to see the show. The Ostrow's (David, Candy and their daughter, Rachel) and the Parnham's (Drew and his daughters, Anna and Jia). It is always wonderful to be able to spend some time with great families from our FCC group!

Well, Livie and Sophie were thrilled to see their favorite mice, along with several other Disney characters. Livie is happy with Mickey and Minnie, while Sophie went absolutely NUTS over The Little Mermaid. All in all it was a wonderful evening spent with my own two precious Princesses!

What fun! And I thought Minnie was still cool, huh. I am so out of the loop!

Wow! Mickey & Minnie lost their coolness factor!? Why didn't anyone tell me??? Trust me. Lindsay will come back to loving Disney if she knows the good things in life, & I'm sure she does.

It sounds like a great night was had by all! Oh! BTW, was Tinkerbell there at all? I might be able to convince Erin next year if she knows that Tink comes along for the ride.

How fun!!! So glad you three had a great time. I'm not sure Mickey and Minnie would have gone over big with our teen either. :-)

That looks like so much FUN! A little Mickey and Minnie is good for the soul!

Mary, You are too funny.

Glad you and the younger Rodins had a ball. You know we would have been there too, whether my kids wanted to go or not ;-)

There is something magical about Disney, it loses it's appeal in the teenage years, but I am hooked again as an adult.

Miss you and Miss Cool!

What a great outing! Teens and 'tweens are a little nuts ;) Seeing the ice skating show twice is almost enough to make me go on another cruise!
Glad you ladies had great fun!

Mary,

I'm so glad to have found your blog. Sophie is so big and just as cute as the day I met her at the White Swan. We really do need to do a Florida get-together.

Hugs,

Ohilda

Mary -

This post made me smile for a couple of reasons...first of all, the pictures of your girls! But, secondly, it reminded me of the time we took Meggie to Disney on Ice (even got front row seats). She was 4 or 5 years old and was PETRIFIED to be so close to all those characters. And then, to top it off, to this day she doesn't even remember going!

Ugghhh...just when you think you're creaing memories for your kids...

Hi Mary!
Thanks for including my crew in your pictures! If it is any consolation there were food and money bribes made to get 13 yr old Anna to "go with..."

Love,
