HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!
Livie and Sophie decided that today was the PERFECT day to make 4th of July cupcakes! Okey-dokey...cupcakes it is!
Of course, I think the 'heart' represents just how much I love my family! :-)
While I am busy at work filling each cupcake with the batter, Livie and Sophie decide to go to their room and play. Not 5 minutes later I hear this bizarre, "thud...thud........thud!". Hmmmm...that can't be a good sign! All of a sudden out runs Livie (running at her top speed of about 50 mph!) and as she runs right PAST ME she shouts, "Sophie fell down! She is hurtttttttt........." Yeah. Great. Into the girls' room I go only to find Sophie sprawled out on her floor between her and Livie's beds...and CRYING! As I dig to the bottom of the lovely game of WHAT HAPPENED?!?!, I find that my little maniacs were...gasp...jumping on Sophie's bed! Alas, evidently Sophie didn't 'stick' her landing (gotta laugh here!), and off of the bed she toppled. No worries, she is fine, with the exception of clocking some well deserved time in Time-Out for disobeying our rule of 'NO JUMPING ON THE BEDS' (Livie also joined her in Time-Out!).
Where does it hurt? Right here, Mom!
Busted for breaking Family Rule 101! Penalty: Time Out!The juice cup that fell victim to the crime.
Back on track...cupcakes in the oven....and I mean REALLY settling in!
Fireworks in the garage that will have to wait until tomorrow?!?!
Wishing you all a very Happy 4th of July!
Mary

Hi Mary - Your family is gorgeous!! Our fireworks had to wait too - raining in Pennsy!
I need about a week in your backyard and I think I would feel very refreshed - that pool is lovely!
The cupcakes look yummy and very happy to read that your little ladybug was not hurt int he bed jumping jamboree:)
Have a happy weekend.
Heather
Happy 4th of July, and have lots of safe fun with the fireworks tomorrow!
By the way, nice cupcakes, can I have the recipe for the batter? Ours came out too greasy.
Now how could you give those sweet girls a time out!? I'd have melted at the look on their faces!
Even with the rain, we had some fireworks yesterday. David was out in the rain while Erin & I watched from the garage. Of course, we still have plenty left over for another day.
I hope you get to do your fireworks today! We've a few 4ths where we were lighting fuses during a drizzle---but yours was no light drizzle. Whew. What dark clouds. No fun!
What sweet girls to make cupcakes for everyone. :-)
ROFLMAO!! Adorable story to show the girls later. Oh my goodness; thoe faces. It looks like even though it was a washout that fun was had by all :)
Those look like some YUMMY cupcakes! And a fun time too, rain or shine! : )
Wow it rained in the afternoon so we could do the fireworks that evening-sorry it didn't work out for you guys!
