Rainy Day Fun

In typical South Florida fashion, we have been having some wicked late-afternoon thunderstorms. I would complain about the rain, but being that our state has been suffering from a pretty significant drought for quite a while now, I will refrain and thank the Lord for every drop He has blessed us with!
At any rate, rain quickly produces the, "Moooooooommmmmmmm, I'm BORED! There is NOTHING TO DO!" complaints from the munchkins. Alas, nothing provides more fun than a BIG, EMPTY CARDBOARD BOX! Whooo-hooo! We recently became the owners of a new and quite large TV, and the box in which it came quickly became a 'fort'! Chris added duct tape in order to give the fort more of 'house look' (this kid LOVES duct tape, and I fear he would try to build an entire home out of the stuff when he is older! LOL Very little things which he owns do not sport some duct tape in at least way!).

Meanwhile...while Chris, Livie & Sophie played in their 'fort', our typical teenager, Lindsay, was in our playroom with her friend, Sierra, playing a version of Guitar Hero on the Internet! Notice they are both still in their PJ's (Sierra spent the night)!

"Teenagers...day 'tink day know ev'ryting! Ya give 'em an inch and day swim all ov'r ya!"

Love the fort! My brother & I used to make forts with our blankets. That's when we weren't moving furniture around while our parents slept. I think you & Neil got off easy with duct tape.

What a cool idea! Kerri loves that kind of thing. She still plays with boxes!
